Happy Easter!!!

The boys really had a good time on Easter Sunday, despite having been sick the previous four days. On Easter Sunday we woke up and SURPRISE...The Easter Bunny had brought the boys their Easter baskets loaded with goodies. Evan was looking for the candy, but that crazy Easter bunny left only freeze dried fruit, bath toys, books, and a beach towelle. Drew just wanted to find the toy cars that he plays with every day. It was still fun for me to watch the boys dig through their loot.

Just for conversation, Daddy asked Evan "Do you know what Easter is all about?" This is something we have talked about several times before, but it seems like he always puts a new twist on it. This time, Evan answered "Yes, We wake up in the morning... and Jesus brings us presents!!!" At that moment we felt like such failures...But we laughed and explained it one more time. That explains why when he prays, he thanks God and Jesus for all of his trains, cars, and movies. It is just a testament to how much we are learning as Christian parents.

We went over to Aunt Rubye's house for an Easter egg hunt. It was a lot of fun and Drew really held his own! Evan was relieved that he FINALLY got some candy...A LOT of candy!
